Spring 2024 Student 1:1 Device Collection 

SPS Student iPads and Laptops

Seattle Public Schools (SPS) student devices and accessories are provided at the beginning of the school year and then returned at your student’s school at the end of the school year. 

Returning SPS Student iPads and Laptops

Spring and summer collections are starting! Seattle Public Schools student devices will need to be returned to your school at the end of the school year. 

Laptops and iPads will be collected on Friday June 14

All students need to return their SPS device and accessories, this includes:

  • Students who will not be enrolled in SPS in the fall.
  • Students who are attending Seattle Public School’s summer academic programs at an SPS location will return their current device and another device will be available for the SPS summer academic programs. The SPS summer academic programs include Extended School Year (ESY), Recovery Services, K-8 Summer Staircase, or High School Credit Retrieval. 

Devices and accessories to be returned

  • Laptops, laptop bag, laptop charger
  • iPads, iPad case, iPad charger, iPad keyboard
  • WiFi hotspots and charger

Fines for devices not returned at the end of the school year

As announced at the beginning of the school year, a fine will be applied to the student account if the device or accessory is not returned.

If your school did not issue any of the accessories listed below, the student/family will not be charged.

  • Laptops $350 fine
  • Laptop bag $10.50 fine
  • Laptop charger $48 fine
  • iPads $250 fine
  • iPad case $49 fine
  • iPad charger $40 fine
How to pay fines for devices not returned

Parents or guardians will be able to pay the fine(s) online through their Source Account.

Fines can also be paid at your school. Please check with the school front office about how to pay student fines at school.
