School Garden Workday

WHAT: Garden Work Day

WHEN: Friday, April 26, from 1:00-4:00 PM

WHERE: Licton Springs K-8 Playground

Please join the Licton Springs PTO and extended community on Friday, April 26, from 1:00-4:00 PM, on the playground, for a community garden workday as we build and prepare our new school garden! This is a great opportunity to connect with families, staff, and students while creating a space that will support hands-on learning, well-being, and environmental education.

This event is open to students, families, and community members—all are welcome! Come get your hands in the dirt, share in this exciting project, and help grow something amazing together.

We are creating a shared space that fosters hands-on learning, well-being, and environmental stewardship for our students. This garden will be a place to learn about sustainability, Indigenous food traditions, and mindfulness, while providing opportunities for families and community members to connect.

By coming together to build this garden, we are supporting equitable access to outdoor education and culturally responsive learning, ensuring all students—regardless of background—have the opportunity to engage with nature, grow food, and build community in a meaningful way.
