Request & Register your student ORCA Card

Requesting an ORCA Card

Go to the MyOrca website and select the desired language.

Click on Sign Up (parent may create account on behalf of student)
Fill in Student Name & Last Name (NOT parents name)

Fill in students personal email address (NOT SPS email address), or parent email address, create a password
Check the ‘Are you 13 years of age or older?’ box
Save this log in information

Create security questions
Check the ‘I agree to the terms of use and privacy policy’
Click on Sign Up

Check email inbox, look for email confirmation to activate account (Check SPAM folder)

Once account is activated, click on ‘Sign In’

After signing in, you’ll see created account, click on ‘Get a card’ at the very top
 Click on buy online and scroll to the bottom of page until you see ‘Youth Orca Card’

Upload proof of age (student ID, birth certificate, or state ID)

Once proof of age is uploaded, click on ‘Add to Cart

Enter student’s age and click on ‘Save and Add to Cart’

There is no cost for the card, click on ‘Checkout’

Add shipping address, this is where the card will be mailed to

After shipping address is entered, click, on ‘Place Order’
 File Removed
Once order has been placed, click on ‘Go To Order History’

Under Order History, you’ll see current order for an ORCA card
  • Once your Student ORCA card is received, log back into the account and link the new card to the account (see instructions below)
  • All future replacement cards should be ordered from your account (not Seattle Public Schools)

Register your Students’ ORCA card

  • All students will need to register their ORCA card
  • Click on ‘Update your youth orca card’
  • Fill in the required details and click ‘Submit’
  • Once the card is registered, future replacements may be requested from the account created by logging back in
