Unlock Power & Potential / Calling Participants & Coaches!
Girls On The Run (GOTR) is an organization that seeks to help girls* recognize their inner strength, increase their level of physical activity, and learn how to stand up for themselves and others. Our school has worked with them in the past and we are hoping to work with them again.
*”Girls” includes nonbinary and gender-expansive youth
Participants: Girls* Grades 3-5 and Grades 6-8 (two groups, need a MINIMUM of 6 per group)

When: week of March 25 – week of May 20, including a Regional 5K at Renton Memorial Stadium on May 19
Practice: Tuesdays & Thursdays from 2:45 p.m. – 4:15 p.m. (no practices during Spring Break)
Where: Licton Springs K-8 school (and possibly the surrounding neighborhood)
Cost: Sliding scale $25-$260 (*GOTR can provide partial and full scholarships – see application or ask Salem)
*Girls on the Run can also provide free sneakers, sports bras, and sports hijabs to anyone who request it.
How: Participants register for Girls on the Run (scholarships available to every person that needs it)

Coaches: Ideally we would have 4 coaches per group
- Training Requirements: (provided by GOTR, free)
- 1, 3-hr in-person training on Saturday, March 16 or Saturday, March 23.
- 4-5 hour self-paced online training
- Background check required (paid for by GOTR)
- Possible stipend for eligible coaches

**Coaches with CPR/First Aid Training Certifications greatly appreciated (and needed).
