Mission Statement

The mission of the Licton Springs K-8 Library is to create an environment in which all individuals in the school are empowered to become lifelong learners and effective producers of information, ideas, and technology.

This is accomplished through:

• Providing intellectual and physical access to materials in a variety of formats.
• Providing instruction to increase skills and stimulate interest in reading, viewing, and using information and ideas.
• Working closely with classroom teachers to integrate instructional activities in classroom units designed to equip students to locate, evaluate, and use a broad range of ideas effectively.
• Adhering to the Library Bill of Rights.
