MMIWP Solidarity March – Walking Field Trip
Friday, May 22
Students will participate in a walking field trip to march in solidarity with our Native American sisters, for MMIWP (Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and People). This event supports Licton Springs K‑8’s ongoing commitment to equity by honoring Indigenous lives and raising awareness of an important issue affecting Indigenous communities.
- Destination: Sunset Hills Park
- Distance: 0.6 miles each way
- Permission Slip Required: Walking field trip permission slip must be submitted for students to attend.
Schedule:
- 12 p.m. – Leave school
- 12–12:30 p.m. – Walk to Sunset Hills Park
- 12:30–1 p.m. – Time at the park
- 1 p.m. – Leave the park
- 1:30 p.m. – Return to Licton Springs K‑8
Volunteers Needed:
We are seeking 3–4 approved volunteers to support the walk. Please email Mrs. Sharma at masharma@seattleschools.org by April 18 if you are available.
