           ACE’s and Complex Trauma’s Impact on Student Learning


The session will provide content related to how Adverse Childhood Experiences and Complex Trauma impact students overall school experience. Staff will also begin to understand how trauma informed practice leads to resilience and promotes student positive sense of belonging and academic success.


  • Define simple and complex trauma

  • Define ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences)

  • Knowledge of how trauma impacts student learning

  • Define and identify resilience and protective factors

  • Identify concrete applicable practices
