    11.01.2020 LSK8 Weekly Update

Good evening, Licton Springs K-8 Families,

We hope you had a safe, positive and restful Daylight Saving’s Weekend.  I personally enjoyed the extra hour of rest.

Halloween Follow-Up:  Most teachers had some form of costume share last week.  It was great to see kids and teachers in costume.  For student privacy reasons, we are opting not to do a schoolwide picture slideshow.  We thank you for your understanding.

Election Day on Tuesday:  We know many of you have Tuesday’s elections on your minds.  We also know that for many of us, the election poses a tremendous amount of stress, both with the uncertainty leading up to the election and with the possibilities for the election’s outcome afterwards.  Teachers will be making space for students on Wednesday to process the election results as needed.  The district has also provided a number of resources to support staff, families, and students leading up to and after the election.  I’m including links to some of these resources below:

No School on Weds. 11/11:  This is just a reminder that there is no school on Wednesday, November 11th in honor of Veterans Day.

Fall Family Conferences:  Our fall family conferences will take place the week of the Thanksgiving break.  Our staff will vote this week on the schedule, so we will be able to distribute it to families in next Sunday’s call.

We hope you have a great rest of your weekend.  We look forward to seeing your scholar tomorrow morning in class!
